Cardey claims jump crowns

Justin-Siena High School’s Kevin Cardey won the high jump at 6 feet and the long jump at 20 feet, 101⁄2 inches to lead the Braves Saturday at the CIF North Coast Section Class A Track and Field Championships at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill.

Tony Villalobos won the pole vault (12-0). Sydnie Sousa was second in the long jump (16-0) and third in the 100 hurdles (17.29).

All will advance to the NCS Meet of Champions this week at UC Berkeley’s Edwards Stadium.
