Napa County firefighters are dueling a grass fire that’s scorched 450 acres of brush since it began Friday evening.

The fire started on Friday around 9 p.m., near the Napa-Yolo County line, east of the Monticello Dam. Napa fire crews joined Yolo County California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection crews to combat the blaze and have 50 percent containment of the burn.
A CDF spokeswoman said she expected full containment of the blaze at 8 a.m., Monday. No structures are in danger of being destroyed and no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
