What camps?!? wrote on Apr 11, 2007 6:00 AM:

" I'm a working Napa parent. Just try to find a good day camp in Napa during late July and all of August! All there is are a couple of NapaRec's programs that are more like babysitting than camp. Don't get me wrong -- NapaRec has a some excellent camps for the first half of the summer, when there's also Blue Oak, Congregation Beth Sholom, etc., but forget trying to find a stimulating or even just a fun program for your older elementary or middle school child in late July or August. But other counties have great camps all summer long. Why not Napa?! p.s. When I was a child/teen I went to fun/useful summer school classes at my public schools. I took drama, typing, science, ... But today the only summer classes are purely remedial. What a waste! "
