Domestic violence arrest

John Bruce Mayton was arrested after a woman accused him of striking her with his fist Monday, Sgt. Don Honey said.

The woman told police officers that Mayton hit her with his closed fist in the ear, Honey said.

When police responded to the Brown Street residence Monday afternoon, Mayton had left. Officers found him a short time later and took him into custody without any trouble, Honey said.

Mayton, 26, of Napa was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence.
