Biz Buzz: Lynn McCarroll joins Del Sur Real Estate Group

Lynn McCarroll, former athletic director and teacher at Justin-Siena High School, has joined Del Sur Real Estate Group Inc. as a Realtor.

He and his wife Laura have lived in the Napa Valley for 29 years. McCarroll hopes to use his extensive knowledge of the local area to serve clients in real estate transactions.

Del Sur Real Estate Group is a full service residential and commercial real estate brokerage.

The group's mortgage division is a member of the California Association of Mortgage Brokers. They broker residential, commercial and constructions loans.

Del Sur Real Estate is at 279 South Montgomery St. in Napa.

NV Grapegrowers hires Sonya Clark as program director

Sonya Clark has joined the Napa Valley Grapegrowers as the organization's new program director.

Prior to joining the NVG team, Clark worked with the Bon Appétit Management Company and the Getty Center. She began her industry career with PlumpJack.

Clark brings extensive management experience and event planning expertise to her role with the NVG.

Clark will be responsible for executing programs and events that provide education, promotion, and market value for Napa County winegrape growers, the community and the industry at large.

She joins executive director Jennifer Kopp and event coordinator Jill Durfee at the NVG offices in Napa.

Waddell & Reed's Cordeiro earns President's Council

Waddell & Reed Inc. announce that John Cordeiro, a financial advisor, in the company's Napa office, has been named to the company's President's Council, one of its highest honors for the firm's financial advisors.

The President's Council award is given to only 12 of Waddell & Reed's financial advisors, out of its national network of more than 2,600 advisors.

The award is presented annually by the firm and is based on an analysis of investment, insurance and financial planning sales generated by the advisor.

This is the third time Cordeiro has earned this honor.

As a member of the council, Cordeiro will meet periodically with firm management and other advisors, discussing ongoing goals, management issues, products and client service issues.

Cordeiro, 36, has been in the financial services industry for 13 years. He joined Waddell & Reed in 1993.

Cordeiro earned a bachelor's degree from Sacramento State University.

Pam Wilkinson named new AmCan Chamber CEO

The American Canyon Chamber of Commerce has hired Pam Wilkinson as its new president/chief executive officer, according to Larry Kudrna, chairman of the Chamber's board of directors.

Wilkinson has previously served as senior vice president of the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce in Southern California.

Wilkinson begins in her new role at the American Canyon Chamber today.

"We are really looking forward to having Pam come aboard here and get her up to speed with the issues facing the American Canyon business community and the other activities of the Chamber," Kudrna said. "We were fortunate to have Dale Osmond's leadership for the past nine years and this is the next step for the American Canyon Chamber of Commerce."

"I'm excited to get to know the members of the Chamber and the American Canyon community in general," Wilkinson said.

Members of the American Canyon Chamber of Commerce are invited to attend a welcome reception for Pam today, 5:30-6:30 p.m., at Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott in American Canyon.

"We're happy to provide this opportunity for our members to come meet the new Chamber president," said chamber board member Kay Eardley, GM of the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott. Wine for the reception will be provided by the Napa Valley Vintners.
