An American Canyon woman was arrested after she forged two checks and cashed them, according to police.

Cammie Sue Allen, 43, was taken into custody Tuesday at her home on Rio Del Mar, American Canyon Police Sgt. Craig Nickles said.
A man known to Allen told police she took two checks, made them payable to herself and signed his name, Nickles said.

The total value of the checks was $900.
Allen was arrested on suspicion of two counts of forgery.

" What is newsworthy about this woman's name? Doesn't it inform the public just as well and serve the legitimate public interest in ... curiousity, I guess ... without castigating her by name? "

" Her name is newsworthy because now we all know not to accept checks from Cammie Sue Allen. "
