Jim and Virginia (Rigby) Hickey celebrated their 60th anniversary Jan. 21 at their home in Napa. Members of the family celebrated the wedding anniversary and several birthdays falling around the same time with a day of visiting and dinner together.

The couple was married on Feb. 22, 1947, in Lansing, Mich. They have lived in Napa County for 37 years.
Virginia is a member of Vallejo Emblem Club and the Napa Valley Dixieland Jazz Society. Her interests include reading and travel. Virginia retired in 1990 as a program manager for Napa County Social Services.

Jim is a member of Napa Elks #832 and SIR Branch 65, he is on the board of directors of the Jack L. Davies Agricultural Land Preservation Fund, and he belongs to Land Trust of Napa County and Napa Valley Dixieland Jazz Society. He retired in 1990 as Napa County director of Planning, Conservation and Development.
Jim and Virginia are the parents of Kathleen Casas of Veracruz, Mexico; Brian Hickey of Canton, Ohio; Mark Hickey of Benicia; Janis Bishop of Montclair; and Shannon Hickey of Durham, N.C.
