Lan Jill Watson and Brian Nelson of San Diego announce their engagement to be married Sept. 15 at the La Jolla Shores Hotel in La Jolla.

Lan is the daughter of the late Donald and Nancy Watson. She graduated from Point Loma High School in 1997 and from the Art Institute of California in San Diego in 2005 with a B.S. in graphic design. She is a GIS analyst at Nolte Associates Inc., Civil Engineering in San Diego.
Brian is the son of Warren Nelson of Yountville and Dawn Nelson of Napa. He is a 1997 graduate of Vintage High School and graduated from San Diego State University with a B.A. in business/real estate in 2003.

Brian is a certified commercial investment member (CCIM). He belongs to the San Diego Association of Realtors (SDAR) and is a member of San Diego Mission Bay Boat and Ski Club. He is a senior associate at Apartment Consultants Inc. in San Diego.
