Shannon Wheelan and Josh Speaks of Sacramento announce their engagement to be married in September.

Shannon is the daughter of Don and Debbie Wheelan of Napa and granddaughter of Jack and Joan Wheelan of Napa. She graduated from Napa High School in 1998 and from University of Irvine in 2003 with an M.A. in demographic and social analysis. Shannon is co-leader of the 20-something group at the Crossing Church and is employed by Marketing Evolution as a research analyst.
Josh is the son of David and Kathy Speaks of Orangevale. He graduated from Victory Christian in 2000 and from California State University, Sacramento, with a B.A. in history in 2008. Josh is a leader in junior high ministry at the Crossing Church. He is employed by CalPERS as a retirement program specialist.
