A St. Helena man complained of pain after the Saturn he was driving was rear-ended by a big rig on Wednesday morning.

Arthur Pena, 46, sought his own medical treatment, California Highway Patrol Officer Jerry Rico said.
Pena, who was traveling north on Highway 29, was stopped at the traffic signal at highways 29 and 121.

The light turned green, but Pena’s Saturn didn’t move, Rico said. “However, the big rig behind him did, hitting the back of the Saturn,” Rico said.
The truck driver, Joseph Stevnin, 32, of Fremont was not injured.

" Another accident on HWY 29. It is known as the road in Napa County which has the most accidents. Yet, our transportation officials plan to spend over $75 million on Jameson Canyon to solve the "congestion". Another waste of public funds for political gain. "

" "Another waste of public funds for political gain..." Could you explain why these improvements are a waste and who stands to gain politically from the improvements??? "

" Spending money to create a 4 lane parking lot on Jameson Canyon just to cure congestion instead of spending the money on HWY 29, Silverado Trail and Carnerso HWY which are known and proven dangerous roads...that is a waste! Who stands to gain politically?...Duh, we got a bunch of people in the NVTPA who care nothing about Napa County and everything about their careers...especially that new guy. "

" I would rather they fix Jameson Canyon than 29 any day of the week. The reason there are so many accidents on 29 is because people are driving way to fast and are consistently running through late orange and early red lights. of course since I don't drive that side of 29, I'm biased because Jameson Canyon is the fastest way to the mall.
