Road rage fight leaves one injured

Traffic congestion in the Napa downtown parking lot next to the movie theater lead to the arrest of a Napa man and trip to the hospital for a male victim, suffering from a head wound, police said.
Nichalous Jon Thomas Barker left a movie Tuesday evening at the Century Cinedome Napa 8 theater and was driving his car out from the parking lot. The male victim was in a car stopped in front of Barker, Napa Police Sgt. Debbie Peecook said.
Barker honked his horn at the victim’s car, prompting the victim to get out of his vehicle and confront Barker, Peecook said.
Words were exchanged and Barker armed himself with a knife, she said. “We are not sure exactly what happened next, but the victim ended up with a laceration to the back of his head. It took 10 staples to close it.”
Barker left the scene, and victim chased him in his car to Barker’s home in the 2000 block of Wilkens Avenue.
By the time the victim and police arrived at Wilkens Avenue, Barker had gotten out of his car and gone inside his apartment, Peecook said.
Barker, 21, was taken into custody without any trouble, she said. He was arrested on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Queen of the Valley Hospital. Hospital personnel could not release information on his condition.
