By MARSHA DORGAN

A burglar alarm tipped off Calistoga police of a burglary early Tuesday morning, netting the arrest of three suspects.
The alarm sounded at 3 a.m., Tuesday, signaling a burglary in progress in the 1500 block of Foothill Boulevard.
When the officers arrived they found one of the burglars with stolen tools at the residence, which was not occupied, Calistoga Police Chief Jonathan Mills said.
The second suspect was taken into custody after officers found him inside a nearby car, he said.
Using a helicopter and the K-9 unit, police were able to track down the third suspect close to the scene of the crime, Mills said.
Rodney Lentz, 44, of Cobb, Kim Carr, 48, and Wayne Awender, 50, both of Santa Rosa, were arrested on suspicion of burglary.
