Napa FFA members attend leadership conference

Adrienne Burris, Tony O'Hara and Kate Smith of the Napa FFA Chapter attended the Advanced Leadership Academy in January in Sacramento. Conference participants focused on agricultural issues, critical thinking, effective debating and established plans to promote agricultural literacy. Throughout the year, these future leaders will work with local chapter members and community leaders in an effort to enhance the public's knowledge base of agriculture./Register
Napa student earns Ph.D.

Zack Ian Medoff of Napa was awarded a Ph.D. from the University of Wyoming at the completion of the 2006 fall semester. Located in Laramie, the University of Wyoming is the state's only four-year higher education institution, offering over 180 programs of study./Register

Made for Excellence
Scott Harris, Michelle Mendoza, Kristen Forbyn, Jennifer Frye and Efren Mena of the Napa FFA Chapter attended the Made for Excellence Conference, a two-day experience in leadership training in Sacramento in January. Conference participants focused on setting goals, understanding who they are and developing plans for the future. Throughout the year, these future leaders will work with local chapter members in an effort to build strong relationships between the FFA and community leaders./Register
