Former Napa student receives Ph.D.
Aime Harrison was recently awarded a Ph.D. in civil engineering from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom. Aime attended Justin-Siena in Napa, Green Run High School in Virginia and graduated from Vintage High School in Napa in 1990. She then attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Marketing in San Francisco and was selected as a foreign exchange student for her last semester at the London School of Economics. She then obtained her B.S. at the University of Wales in Cardiff, Wales, and her Ph.D. at the University of Bristol. She is now living and working in London. Aime is the daughter of John and Kathleen Harrison of Napa.

Local author at Fromm Institute
The Fromm Institute of the University of San Francisco has announced that Napa author Kal Edwards will lead an eight-week seminar based on his award-winning book, “Grandmother’s Wise Recipes for Success.” The class series will be “How to Create Your Legacy to Benefit Others” and will focus on how attendees can document their lifetime achievements and histories that will be of benefit to families and friends, as well as possible museums and foundations. Enrollment will begin this spring. Edwards has been actively involved in community projects, speaks on retirement renewal and legacy, and currently serves on the Napa Community Presence Team for AARP.
