More than a concert, “In the Mood” takes a look at the life and time of America’s greatest generation with music and dance that combines up-tempo Big Band rhythms with intimate ballads. The String of Pearls Big Band orchestra and cast of 24 singers and dancers bring back the music that moved a nation’s spirit more that 60 years ago,

Written and directed by John Moran, choreographed by Thomas Mills and produced by Bud Forrest, this retro 1940s musical makes the first stop of its 10th anniversary tour at Lincoln Theater in Younvtille Tuesday.
Bud Forrest Entertainment began touring “In the Mood” in 1994 following an overwhelming response to a performance on the steps of the National Archives in Washington, D.C. For more than 10 years the production has sold out performances in the U.S. and Europe and become part of the official entertainment for the World USO’s 50th commemoration of WWII events.

The Lincoln Theater will donate 120 tickets for “In the Mood” to residents of the Vets Home to honor their efforts to protect our nation.
Tickets for “In the Mood” are $30 to $75 and are available at the Lincoln Theater Box Office, 100 California Drive, Yountville. To purchase tickets by phone, call 944-1300. Tickets are also available online at www.lincolntheater.org.
