Ruth Mariana Rivera and Brandon Ignatius Glenn, both of Napa, announce their engagement with plans of an outdoor wedding planned for June 30 of this year at Sand Harbor, Nev./Lake Tahoe, Nev. The romantic proposal took place while boating at sunset on Bucks Lake, Quincy, on Aug. 11.

The bride's parents are Bertha Alicia Vazquez of Napa and Eduardo Rivera. The bride is a 1995 graduate of EI Nido High School in Van Nuys. She earned her accounting clerk certification in 1997 from CET in Los Angeles. The bride is an active member of Grace Church of Napa and its Spanish ministry, including choir. She is an office administrative assistant and tour coordinator at Artesa Winery in Napa.
The groom's parents are Gary Robert Glenn and Lezlie Ann Carter-Collins, both of Napa. He is a 1999 graduate of Vintage High School and continued his education at various junior colleges. The groom is an apprentice for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, LU180. He is also an active member of Grace Church of Napa and is involved in choir and coffee ministry.

The couple met while attending a college bible study group from Grace Church of Napa in 2005.
