Mark Kamrath re-joins Bell Products Inc.

Bell Products Inc. has appointed Mark Kamrath as director of business development. Kamrath re-joins Bell to pursue his passion for geothermal technologies and relationship-building in the growing construction industry of the North Bay.
Kamrath, returning from a six-month personal sabbatical, had worked at Bell for the past 10 years as a project manager and estimator.

Kamrath is credited for managing several large-scale heating and air conditioning projects including the recently opened Meritage Hotel, the Napa Valley Opera House, Blue Oak School and Frog’s Leap Winery, among others.
“As we re-shape the relationship department for our company, we could not be happier to have Mark return,” said Paul Irwin, senior vice president. “He has an innate ability to communicate with the clients, our internal teams and the planning departments at both the city and county levels.”

A graduate of UC Davis/Berkeley with a BS in engineering, Kamrath has spent his entire career within the HVAC engineering industry.
Kamrath will continue in this role to pursue long-term business relationships with key customers and to secure large-scale and specialty project work within Napa County.

Kamrath will be supported by a team of seven project managers and estimators who will have continued responsibility for the new Westin Verasa Residence and a recently initiated $7 million thermal storage/chiller plant project for Napa Community College.

Bill Lockhart accepts limited partnership

Bill Lockhart, the Edward Jones investment representative in Napa, has accepted a limited partnership in the Jones Financial Cos., the holding company for the St. Louis-based financial services firm.

“I am honored to be offered this limited partnership. It is a privilege to become part owner of a firm that is so well known and respected throughout the financial services industry,” Lockhart said.

James D. Weddle, the firm’s managing partner added, “Edward Jones is owned entirely by its associates. We believe one of the best ways to reward outstanding associates is to offer them an opportunity to share in the ownership of the company they help build. I’m pleased to say that Bill has most definitely earned this limited partnership offering.”

Napa B&B pioneers share secrets of longevity

Can any couple spend more than 200,000 hours together and still respect one another in the morning?

Napa’s first bed and breakfast owners Jim and Carol Beazley can and have for more than 25 years. They will tell aspiring innkeepers how they have stayed together running two successful inns.

On Jan. 27, the Beazleys will be on a panel titled “The Reality of Being An Innkeeper” at the 15th annual California Association of Bed and Breakfast Innkeepers (CABBI), in Irvine.

“Innkeeping as a Profession” is a special two day series of workshops that precedes the organization’s annual conference.

After attending intensive, information-rich workshops and luncheons, the participants can better judge if they have what it takes to become B&B owners.

As part of the three-day “Innspire 2007” conference, the Beazley’s will also be teaching a workshop titled  “Market Niches and Value-Added Packages.”

They will join a panel of successful niche marketers sharing how they developed their customer base and targeted a particular interest.

CABBI was formed 15 years ago and is the largest statewide innkeeper organization in the U.S. with more than 300 member inns.

The Beazley’s own the Beazley House which opened in 1981 and Daughter’s Inn, Napa’s newest, which opened in 2003 on First Street in Napa.
