Napa Valley College trustees are getting ready to grapple with the aftermath of the race that nobody won — the November election that saw the only candidate seeking the American Canyon seat on the board place second behind a man who withdrew from the race long before election day.

A Napa man walked into Queen of the Valley Hospital early Monday morning, suffering from stab wounds to his chest and arms.
