Oh, rats!

The Register is compiling a story about Napa Valley residents who’ve had rats, mice, raccoons, squirrels and other wild invaders in their homes. If you’d like to share your tale, please e-mail it to Sasha Paulsen, features editor, at spaulsen@napanews.com or send it to her care of the Napa Valley Register, P.O. Box 150, Napa, CA 94559. Submissions should be less than 250 words./Register
City/county forum endorsed

The Napa City Council unanimously supports turning the Napa County Transportation Planning Agency into a forum for discussing other issues that the cities and the county might have in common.
The city of Napa would retain its autonomy since the NCTPA would not have new policy-setting powers, City Manager Mike Parness told the council Tuesday.

The Transportation Planning Agency would add land use, economic development, demographics, community development, environmental issues as well as art and cultural matters to its agenda.
The expanded NCTPA, which would have greater representation by elected officials, would replace an informal forum sponsored by the Napa County League of Governments.

The expanded role of the NCTPA will be taken up by the Napa Valley’s other city councils later this month, with the Board of Supervisors weighing in at the end./Register
