Batanero-Crowley
Monica Diana Batanero and Dr. Ryan Michael Crowley were married Sept. 23 at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Laguna Niguel. Anna Batanero Rochester, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Dr. Brooks Larsen was best man. Ushers were Brent and Bryan Crowley, brothers of the groom; and Mike and Roy Batanero, brothers of the bride. The groom's parents hosted a prenuptial dinner at Shady Canyon Country Club, Irvine, for 50 wedding guests. On their wedding day, Dr. Crowley and Monica invited their families to a Champagne breakfast as the couple prepared for their church ceremony. Later, the mothers of the couple began the wedding ceremony by lighting unity candles on the altar. The wedding reception was held at the home of Kip and Elizabeth Batanero-Grossman, brother-in-law and sister of the bride. The beautiful Laguna Beach estate was formerly owned by the Kodak family. The following morning, the newlyweds hosted a postnuptial breakfast for their families at C'est La Vie Restaurant, Laguna Beach. Afterwards, Dr. Crowley, a pilot, entertained the family by inviting them aboard his airplane for a ride up the coast.
