Local students in math contest

Justin-Siena High School hosted their mathematics contest for Justin-Siena feeder schools on Oct. 28. St. John's Catholic School, St. Helena Catholic School and St. John's Lutheran School participated. Six initial rounds were held to determine the order of participation in the three elimination rounds. In an extremely close contest between all four teams, the final winner was the team from St. John's Lutheran School. The teams were as follows:
* St. John's Lutheran: Jennifer Cardey, Lauren Cardey, Sarah Francke, Nicholas Kinda, Gabriella Salva and Caroline Zaia.

* St. Helena Catholic: David Fradelizio, Amelia Hogan, Noemi Sanchez, Andie Summers, Elaine Tedeschi and Mary Williams.
* St. John's Catholic: Monica Alvarez, John Calforda, Addison Gatton, William Gomez, Jennifer Roldan and Corinne Schafle.

Justin-Siena appreciates the many parents and teachers who brought their students to Justin-Siena on a Saturday morning and stayed to support their teams./Register
