Rice-Jorgensen
Lisa Rice of Napa and Trent Jorgensen of Point Arena were married Oct. 14, 2006, at Anchor Bay at Mar Vista Cottages.
On this overcast day, the sun came out right as the wedding began. The processional was performed by a brass quintet which included the groom's father, Chris Jorgensen on trumpet. Family and friends were seated on hay bales overlooking the ocean. Strawberry shortcakes were served instead of traditional wedding cake and guests danced to the live music of local band the Pollinators.
Erica Sutherland was the maid of honor and bridesmaids were Linda Rethwisch and Shauna McFarland. John Sutherland was the best man and groomsmen were Kirk Jorgensen and Rick Knapp. Molly Anderson was the flower girl and Jonas Anderson was the ring bearer. The couple held their reception at Mar Vista Cottages in Anchor Bay and honeymooned in Ixtapa, Mexico for one week.
The bride is the daughter of Wendy Carroll of Berryville, Ark., and Hugh Rice of Napa. Lisa graduated from Vintage High School in 1988 and earned a bachelor's degree in English from Humboldt State University in 1993. She is employed as an office administrator at Flowers Vineyard & Winery in Cazadero.
The groom is the son of Romanza Banas of Fresno and the son/step-son of Chris and Gloria Jorgensen of Point Arena. Trent was the valedictorian of Point Arena High School, class of 1991. He earned an associate's degree in 2002 from South Dakota State and received his pharmacy technician's license from the California State Board of Pharmacy Externship program in 2003. He works as a pharmacy technician at Arena Pharmacy, owned and operated by his father Chris Jorgensen.
The couple now reside together in Gualala.
