Beginning Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m., ParentsCAN will be presenting Loving Solutions, at 3299 Claremont Way, suite 3, in Napa. This seven-week training is for parents with strong-willed children ages 5 to 10. The curricula addresses Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder and provides guidelines to determine rule-setting and negotiations. Public Flu Shot Clinics
Clinics are open to all, but priority consideration will be given to seniors. Any senior that has Medicare Part B will receive a free flu shot. Bring your Medicare card and a picture ID. Pneumonia vaccine is also available and is covered by Medicare. For others, flu shots are $25 and pneumonia shots are $35. classes and health fair
The November afternoon class series begins this Wednesday and runs for four consecutive Wednesdays at 1 p.m.
The November evening class series begins Nov. 7 and runs for four Tuesdays in a row at 6 p.m.
The pre-diabetes class is Thursday at 9 a.m.
Diabetes Support Group is Nov. 8 at 6 p.m., and Parents of Children with Diabetes Support Group is Nov. 9 at 7 p.m.

The Diabetes Health Fair will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the north parking lot of the Wellness Center at Queen of the Valley Hospital. The fair includes cooking demonstrations, Dr. Anne Peters, author of "Conquering Diabetes," educational materials, blood glucose and cholesterol screenings and more.

Firefighters 'Hacker -- Wacker' Fundraiser
On Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Silverado Resort north golf course, come for the Napa City Firefighters fundraiser. Cost is $90 per golfer for a four-person scramble. The day includes breakfast at 8 a.m. at Napa City Fire Station 4, 251 Gasser Drive, as well as greens fees and cart, beverages on the course and team prizes. Raffle tickets are sold the day of the event; team mulligans are sold at check-in at $20 per team. Please note that Silverado Resort prohibits blue jeans. Operation Treat Our Troops
In order to show appreciation to our troops, join a candy drive called Operation Treat our Troops. Bring unopened Halloween candy to the collection bins at the quad at Northwood Elementary on Wednesday and Thursday. The troops use hard candies to help wet their mouths in the 140-degree weather, and also give them to the children they encounter. 'Broadway Bound'
The Kiwanis Club of Greater Napa will present a production of Neil Simon's "Broadway Bound" on Thursday at 8 p.m. at Dreamweavers Theatre, behind the River Park Shopping Center, 1637 Imola Ave. A special wine and dessert tasting provided by Truchard Vineyards and ABC Bakery starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person. Election Night Coverage
Napa TV, Napa County's only nonprofit and non-commercial television station, will be carrying live election night coverage Nov. 7 beginning at 8 p.m. Veteran broadcast journalists Barry Martin and Louisa Hufstader will anchor cablecast live from Napa City Hall on cable channels 27 and 28. For the first time in history, Upvalley viewers can follow their local races live by tuning to channel 27 while Napa and American Canyon viewers can tune to channel 28. Natural horsemanship instructor in Napa
David Lichman, a 5-star rated Parelli Natural Horsemanship instructor, will be in Napa on Nov. 4 and 5, for a rare Level One clinic. During the two-day course, Lichman will demonstrate natural horsemanship techniques using his own horses, as well as teaching the principles and beginning tasks to clinic participants and their horses.
