Dear editor,

I remember very clearly the deaths of high school friends from unsafe abortions and trips to Mexico in the 1950s and 1960s. Pregnant teens are often scared and ashamed and even with the best of family relationships, they are afraid to tell their parents of their pregnancy. Pregnant teens from abusive homes won't try to get to a judge. Teens need safe places to get counseling and medical care. California voters already said "no" to this issue last year. Please send another strong message again this year and vote "no" on Proposition 85.
