Business buzz: Napa Community Bank welcomes Kelly Bruns
Dennis Pedisich, president/CEO of Napa Community Bank, announces that Kelly Bruns has joined the bank as credit officer. In this position, she works with the bank’s chief credit officer, Douglas Haigh, in overseeing the bank’s loan portfolio.
Bruns has 15 years of business experience, including 10 years in financial services. Most recently, she was a sales manager and commercial loan officer for a bank in Fairfield. Prior to that, she was a commercial loan underwriter for a large bank in Napa.
A graduate of California State University, Sacramento, Bruns has a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She has also taken undergraduate business courses at University of San Francisco and Napa Valley College.
Dr. Jarman opens new chiropractic office in Napa
Dr. Roxann M. Jarman, a doctor of chiropractic announce the opening of her new office, Ranch Chiropractic.
Dr. Jarman (formally Dr. Roxann M Bettencourt) practiced in St. Helena from 1994 to 2001.
Her new office is in the Wine Country Center next to the Ranch Market. Dr. Jarman specializes in spinal manipulation for pain relief and prevention.
The office offers state of the art x-ray equipment, spinal flexion/distraction for disc herniation and sciatica, as well as Metagenics nutraceuticals and medical foods.
She is celebrating her grand opening with a party on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Brendon Beloy from Metagenics will be sampling medical foods.
Architect relocates office to Napa from Marin
After 35 years of providing professional architectural and planning services in Marin County, Craiker Architects and Planners is moving its offices to 3154 Browns Valley Road in Napa.
Chris Craiker AIA/NCARB has been living in Napa since 1994 when he restored and established the 1801 Inn, the boutique luxury bed and breakfast at the corner of Jefferson and First Streets, which was sold in 2001.
In those 12 years, Craiker has been very involved in the community and has many projects currently under construction or in planning.
Craiker is well known for his specialty in retail/commercial buildings, hillside and waterfront multi-family projects throughout the Bay Area, having won over 25 nationally acclaimed awards.
Craiker is also the architect for Washington Square in Yountville.

General Manager Pat Sweeney buys Silverado Service
Silver Auto Service manager, Pat Sweeney, has purchased the business from Steve Katchmar.
Katchmar will remain as a technician, along with familiar faces Armando Gonzalez, Ricardo Alberto and Derek Amaral.
Sweeney was a born and raised Napan, having attended all Napa schools and finishing his automotive training at Wyoming Technical Institute in Laramie Wyo.
His life-long dream since high school was to own a repair facility in Napa.
Sweeney comes from a long history of automotive specialists: His grandfather, great grandfather and uncle all had shops in Napa.
Recently, in a project initiated by Sweeney, Silver Auto Service donated five cars to worthy people in the Napa area.
After presenting the idea to the owner at the time, his concept was embraced and fully supported by all members of the business.
He also engaged the help of Kiwanis Club of Napa, of which he is a member, and other local shops and parts providers to assist with the necessary materials to restore the cars.
Silver Auto Service is at the corner of Silverado Trail and Third Street and repairs foreign and domestic automobiles.
Their phone is 224-4708. Silver Auto Service is a member of the Napa Chamber of Commerce and participates in the Member 2 Member discount program.
