Kristin Ann Edwards and Christopher Brian Rhondeau exchanged wedding vows in the chapel of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church on the campus of the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyo., on Sept. 2. The Service of Light in Evening Prayer was led by Reverend Marcus T. Zill, pastor. The groom's nieces, Elizabeth and Olivia Rhondeau and Kantor Dr. Steven Hoffman provided music.

The bride wore a full-length strapless gown of white satin embellished with seed pearls along the bodice and waist trailing to a formal train. She carried a bouquet of orange protea with dendrobium orchids and burgundy dahlias. Her sister, Rebecca Edwards of Laramie, was maid of honor and bridesmaids Alexandra Hardina, Corinne Ilgun and Kalsoom Lakhani, all from Washington, D.C., dressed in chocolate brown satin dresses of individual design and attended Kristin.
The groom's best man was Robin Kardy, former Napan, from Fremont and groomsmen, were Kevin Cornils, former Napan from London, England; Dr. Scott Mayfield of San Francisco and Kevin Miller from Washington, D.C. The groom and his groomsmen were attired in dark tuxedos with gold vests and ties.

After the ceremony, the bride and groom left the church in a yellow classic Packard convertible for the evening reception held at the Historic Union Pacific Railroad Company Train Depot in downtown Laramie. A full roast pig along with Russian dishes and California wine was served to friends from all over the world including Russia, Krgystan, Pakistan, England and Japan as well as friends and family from California, Utah, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Indiana and Washington, D.C. Among those attending were Christopher's former crew teammates from UC Davis. During the reception, Christopher sang an original song, "Blue Eyes," to his bride accompanied by Scott Mayfield on the guitar and dancing the rest of the evening was to the music of American Soundwave.
Christopher is the son of Ronald and Carolyn Rhondeau of Napa and graduated from Vintage High School (1991) and UC Davis (1996). He worked three and a half years in Moscow, Russia, with Operation Smile, a children's charity specializing in correcting facial deformities. He will graduate in May of 2007 with a Master of Arts degree in international relations and an MBA in international business.

Kristin is the daughter of Robert and Terry Edwards of Encampment, Wyo. She is a graduate of Encampment High School (1999) and the University of Wyoming (2004). She completed a Master of Arts in international affairs in May of 2006, is also fluent in Russian, and currently works for an international agency in Washington, D.C., that helps resettle refugees. The couple makes their home in Washington, D.C., and plans a December honeymoon.
