The Napa Gunners, a Napa Valley Soccer Club under-14 Division III boys team, clinched its fourth straight tournament title, taking top honors at the Ukiah Wine Harvest Tournament last weekend.

Strong defensive play throughout the tournament by Jacob Aman, Horacio Arcila, Blake Zuniga, Zachary Zuniga, Raymond Lopez and Austin Burns, coupled with the performances of goalkeepers Fabian Izarrarez and Jose Jaramillo, enabled the Napa team to shut out each of its opponents.
In the opening game the Gunners blanked the Clayton Demolition 5-0 as Omar Delgadillo, Michael St. John, Gary Tovar, Izarrarez and Jaramillo scored goals and Austin Burns, Zachary Zuniga, Izarraraz and St. John had assists.

Napa beat River City Westham 4-0 as Delgadillo, Tovar, James LaBerge and Bolton Titus had goals. Lopez, Delgadillo and Tovar were credited with assists.
The Gunners’ offense and defense combined to provide another strong effort in Game 3, a 4-0 win over the River City Bulldogs. Tovar scored two goals and St. John and Titus each had a goal. Delgadillo, Lopez, Aman, LaBerge and Zuniga had assists.

Delgadillo and Tovar each scored two goals, leading Napa to a 4-0 win over Santa Rosa FC Central in the championship game.
The Gunners, coached by Rob Kusel and Horacio Arcila Sr., are 20-0-0 and have outscored their opponents 100-6. They are also off to a strong start in league play with wins over the Petaluma Crusaders (4-1), Santa Rosa Cosmos (5-0), Mill Valley Fusion (11-0) and Wesco Wildfire (11-0 ).
