Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schloezer of Napa celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Aug. 26 in San Francisco. The couple was married on Aug. 26, 1966, and they have been in Napa County for 28 years.

A 40-year anniversary scrapbook album was presented to the couple by their oldest child, Lisa Macomber and family. The couple then flew off to Las Vegas for the weekend to celebrate and they were accompanied by their other daughter, Karen and son-in-law, Brett Hertan.
Raised in San Francisco, the couple met when they were just children. They started dating when they were just 13 years old and 15 years old. Married in 1966, Al was drafted for the Vietnam War and they spent their first few years of marriage in the service. Once home, they finally settled in Sonoma and had their three children there. A short move to Ohio and they once again found themselves in wine country, settling here in Napa in the early 1980s, where they raised their family and still live today. They opened Eur-Asian Autowerkes foreign car repair in 1990 and just this month sold the business to retire. The couple has a second home in Browns Valley, near Marysville, and plan on settling there to retire after the first of the year.

Mrs. Schloezer is a former licensed day care provider. Mr. Schloezer was owner and founder of Eur-Asian Autowerkes foreign car repair. The couple has four grandchildren.
The couple's oldest child, Lisa (Schloezer) Macomber and husband Matt live in Napa with their two children, Carson and Ella. Their middle child, Karen (Schloezer) Hertan and husband Brett Hertan live in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Their youngest child, Jason Schloezer and wife Margaret with two children, Courtney and Elizabeth Schloezer, reside in Napa.
