Napan goes to National Young Leader Conference

Warren McCann, a junior at Napa High School, traveled to Washington, D.C., Tuesday to participate in the 2006 National Young Leader Conference.

McCann, who has a keen interest in history and international affairs, was nominated by teacher Brian King, who identified Warren as a scholar demonstrating outstanding leadership potential and academic achievement. Warren is active participating in Napa High's water polo and wrestling teams, chamber and concert choir, German club, the German American Partnership Program and Civil War Reenactment./Register

Local student receives national honor

Former Vintage High School Student, Dante A. Ross, was honored for superior academic achievement by the National Society of High School Scholars. Ross was an honor student throughout high school, was in the Honor Society, Lamp of Knowledge, and was an AP Scholar with honors from the College Board. He also had an academic letter, played in high school varsity golf, got the NVUSD Vintage High School Academic Excellence Award and was team captain for varsity golf during his senior year.
