Bad checks passed by customers can put a hefty dent in profits for many businesses. But there is hope for recouping those losses through the district attorney’s Bad Check Restitution Program.

Since I began writing this column in 1991, I occasionally hear a speaker or read a book that hits home with me.

Last week I read an interesting article in the Wall Street Journal written by Jonathan Clements. I like most of the columns written by Clements, but occasionally I disagree with him. This article entitled, "Keeping Your Financial Footing at 22 -- So You Can Buy That House at 32" was timely.
