Napa teen killed in Friday night crash

A traffic collision at the intersection of Highway 29 and Trower Avenue took the life of a 17-year-old Napa boy Friday night.

The accident occurred at 9:35 p.m., as the 17-year-old victim, whose name was not released pending notification of next of kin, was traveling east in a Ford Thunderbird on Trower Avenue.
According to a Napa Police Department press release, the man entered the intersection of Highway 29 and collided with Crystal Bueno of Napa, who was traveling south on Highway 29 in a Ford Explorer. An ambulance transported both individuals to Queen of the Valley Hospital, where the teenager died from his injuries. Bueno was treated and released.

The cause of the accident is under investigation. Anyone who witnessed the wreck is encouraged to contact the Napa Police Department at 253-4451.
