Road work and
traffic delays
Detours, lane closures and traffic delays will occur next week at a variety of road construction projects, Napa traffic spokesman Barry Martin said.
* Lincoln Avenue: One eastbound lane between the railroad tracks and Soscol Avenue will be closed at times so that a parking lane can be constructed. Later, bike lanes will be striped.
* California Boulevard/First Street: Various lane closures will occur weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for work on underground utilities. This project is adding a second left-turn lane from eastbound First onto California.
* First Street, downtown: The Zeller Building is being demolished near Franklin Street, requiring the closure of the south sidewalk in front of the site. Demolition will stop at 3 p.m. Friday so as to not interfere with the Chefs Market./Register
