Dear editor,

We need help to fix our roads, prevent further deterioration and help save lives. Also, we must stop the abuse of our vehicles, which costs money and can endanger lives.

Fixing Jamieson Canyon Road, where many lives have already been lost, represents a long-overdue need.

The answer is to share the cost -- with the added half-cent sales tax, as called for in Measure H -- to do the job right. We must look at getting a two-thirds majority "yes" vote to assure the funds for this explicit purpose only.

I learned, through working on funding for our Napa County flood plan, that if we don't have our own investment of dollars, we are not eligible for state or federal funds. Now is the time to vote yes on Measure H, to assure our future safety and satisfaction.
