CommentBob and Carol (Henke) Eichler of Napa celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 14, 2006. They were honored at a dinner party hosted by their daughter Lisa Eichler at Auberge du Soleil. The couple also celebrated with a Mexican Riviera cruise aboard the Norwegian Star and a month-long vacation in Europe.
Bob and Carol were married April 14, 1956, in Reno, Nev. They are both native Napans.

Carol enjoys flowers, gardening, travel, kayaking, snorkling, dancing and flower arranging. She is involved in animal rights and rescue including the Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue, is a member of the Napa Women's Club and is involved with Small Pleasures for the Elderly. Carol is retired as a florist, after working 30 years in various shops and at home.
Bob enjoys travel, kayaking, snorkling, catch and release fishing, animal rights and rescue and dancing. He is a member of the Native Sons of the Golden West, Napa Parlor #62. He is retired from working for the state of California for 31 years in various departments.

The couple's children are Frank Eichler of Maui, Hawaii; Matthew Eichler of Amsterdam, Holland; Lisa EIchler of Folsom and their two yorkies, Merlin and Leah.
