Series looks at conflict and resolution

The Napa Valley College Customer Service Academy presents a series of customer service training modules to business owners and their employees.
In May training is a blending of two classes: "Positive Attitude in the Workplace" and "Dealing with Conflict Resolution."

The training will be offered at the Napa Chamber of Commerce 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday and May 11.
CSA certified trainer, Bill Cremen will provide participants with the tools needed to effectively deal with conflict and resolving communication challenges in the workplace.

The training will also cover common attitude issues at work and how to overcome attitude challenges.
Participants will understand how to conquer negativity, improve performance and enhance productivity.

Each training module includes materials and eight-hours of interactive training. The cost is $75 per participant.

NVC is sponsoring the Customer Service Academy in partnership with the Napa Chamber of Commerce.

Kiwanis to hold child safety seat clinic

Sharon Elliott, president of the Kiwanis Club of Greater Napa announces that there will be a clinic on the installation of child safety seats May 13.

The event is being co-ordinated by Dan Healy and will be held at Kastner Pontiac 282 Soscol Ave., in Napa, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol will be on hand to teach the correct way to install child car seats.

In the seats are not currently approved they will be replaced free of charge.

The Kiwanis Club of Greater Napa has a goal to "Prevent Pediatric Trauma" and invites the community to join their effort to keep our children safe. There is no cost./Register
