You don't have to be a girl to be a nurse or a boy to be a firefighter. "Each of you has an inner voice. You have the power to do whatever you want in life." stated Tracy Hayward from last years "Good Enough!" Conference.

The Evening Edition of the Napa Women's Club proudly presents its second annual "Good Enough!" conference designed for Napa County ninth-graders. The conference will be held at the Lincoln Theater in Yountville on April 12th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. This free program for ninth-graders is presented by a variety of entertainers, community leaders and positive role models who encourage self esteem through unique, engaging and valuable presentations, activities and personal stories. Those attending will enjoy entertainment from storytellers, a fashion show, self defense demonstrations, slam poetry as well as goodie bags and a catered lunch.
The "Good Enough!" conference was originated last year by the Napa County Commission on the Status of Women to have an annual event that would give back to the community. Since being disbanded, the Evening Edition of the Napa Women's Club will host the event with support from the Napa Valley Unified School District and sponsors such as AT&T, Zare Restaurant, La Bella Party Rentals, Melissa Teaff Catering and the Lincoln Theater.

"We're putting together a program that is far reaching, interactive and inclusive of young people in our communities," said Carol Whichard, founder of the program. "We believe this program will repeat itself annually and will be a signature event in the wellbeing of our teenage youth."
Food, entertainment and transportation will be provided at no cost to all students who participate. Students can sign up at their respective schools and should have permissions slips into their counselors as soon as possible.
