'Lie, Cheat' and laugh at Dreamweavers

Dreamweavers Theater presents the rollicking farce "Lie, Cheat, and Genuflect," kinetic comedy directed by Erin Lindke, "Lie, Cheat, and Genuflect" follows the increasingly desperate maneuvers of a pair of less-than-brilliant brothers as they try to pay back a loan shark by stealing an inheritance.
The Dreamweavers cast includesDaryl Roberts as Billy Buckle; Christian King as Tom Buckle; Adrian Atman as Robert Fryburger; Krisi Pilkington as Virginia; Tina Luisen as the Girl; Sharon Winderlich as Jane; Gabe Frey as Pizza Face Petrillo and Theresa Abalo as Miss Macintosh.

"Lie, Cheat, and Genuflect" plays Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p. m. at Dreamweavers Theatre, 1637 West Imola Ave. (River Park Shopping Center, rear). Tickets are $25 for the opening gala. Other performances tickets are $18 general; $15 for students, seniors and military. For reservations, call 255-LIVE (5483).
John Rustan directs the Pulitizer Prize nominee"Baltimore Waltz." In this dark comedy Anna, portrayed by Jillian Jones, and her brother, Carl, played by Jake Garibaldi, travel throughout Europe to track down a miracle cure for ATD (Acquired Toilet Disease). The audience soon will realize that the European trip is imaginary and all action takes place in a Baltimore hospital room. It also becomes agonizingly evident ATD is really AIDS.

The role of "the third man" and all other parts is filled by Benjamin Stowe.
Solano College Theater 'Sweeney Todd -- The Demon Barber of Fleet Street'

Solano College Theatre and North Bay Opera present Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's chilling, suspenseful, heart-pounding masterpiece of murderous barbarism and culinary crime.

"Sweeney Todd," the winner of eight Tony awards in 1979, including Best Musical, tells the infamous tale of the unjustly exiled barber who returns to 19th century London seeking revenge against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. Todd's thirst for blood soon expands to include his unfortunate customers as he finds a partner in crime with the equally fiendish proprietress of the meat pie shop downstairs.

"Sweeney Todd" will play at the Campus Theatre, 4000 Suisun Valley Road in Fairfield Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Admission is $10 for students with valid student ID and children; $15 for seniors and military, and regular adult admission ranges from $16-$24.
