Cordeiro named to Waddell & Reed's President's Council
n Waddell & Reed, Inc., announces that John Cordeiro, a financial advisor in the company's Napa office, has been named to the company's President's Council.
The President's Council award is given to 12 of Waddell & Reed's financial advisors, out of its national network of more than 2,600 advisors.
This is the second year Cordeiro has earned this honor.
Cordeiro, 35, has been in the financial services industry for 13 years. He joined Waddell & Reed in 1993. He earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Sacramento State University.
Founded in 1937, Waddell & Reed has grown to more than 200 offices nationwide.
Silverado Associates
opens at Silverado Resort
n Silverado Associates, a real estate company, announces the opening of its new office adjacent to the main Mansion at the Silverado Resort.
Silverado Associates specializes in homes and condominiums located within the Silverado Resort development and close environs.
Broker/owner Teresa Davis has served as the 2004 president of the Women's Council of Realtors Napa Valley Chapter and was a 2004 board member of the North Bay Association of Realtors in Napa County.
Prior to acquiring Silverado Associates in June 2004 Davis was with Silverado Properties and with Pacific Union Real Estate.
Working with Davis is Realtor/associate Vanessa Braun, who belongs to the National Association of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors and the North Bay Association of Realtors.
Braun serves as the 2006 president of the Silverado Resort Board of Directors and is an executive committee member of the Silverado Property Owners Association and the Silverado Community Services District Advisory Board. Additionally, she is president of the Silverado Oaks Homeowners Association.
Braun previously worked at Coldwell Banker Brokers of the Valley in St. Helena and at the Silverado Highlands.
Silverado Associates new office is located "on the circle" next to the tennis courts adjacent to the Silverado Resort Main Mansion.
Jones teams up with
Jefferson Street Retreat
n Jefferson Street Retreat, a massage and facial facility in central Napa, announces the offering pedicures and manicures to their selection of services.
Also, Cheryl Jones has joined the staff at Jefferson Street Retreat. She is formerly with Advance Day Spa.
The massage facility is located at 1732 Jefferson St., Suite 11. They offer day, evening and weekend appointments.

Vicky Chase, the business owner, has been a local massage therapist for 20 years. She opened Jefferson Street Retreat two years ago.
Also joining Chase is Kirsten Niesar, a massage therapist since 1997. She is certified in pregnancy massage and reiki. She customizes each massage to fit the clients needs using a variety of modalities.
Other staff includes Kathryn Hodson, Shirley Fraser, Carrie Aldous and Stacey Finn.

Jezycki receives residential specialist designation
n Stefan C. Jezycki, a Napa Realtor, has been awarded the Certified Residential Specialist(CRS) designation by the Council of Residential Specialists, the largest not-for-profit affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.
Realtors who receive the CRS designation have completed advanced courses and have demonstrated professional expertise in the field of residential real estate.
Only 35,000 Realtors nationwide have earned the credential.
Jezycki is a sales associate with ReMax Napa Valley in Napa.
Jezycki is a member of the Napa Chapter Board of Realtors. Jezycki is also a board member and vice president of membership for the local Woman's Council of Realtors, past board member of the Napa Chapter of Realtors, past MLS Board Member, Napa Chamber of Commerce and the Blood Bank.
Nonprofit moves as a result of flooding
n Becoming Independent, a nonprofit agency, has relocated to 1832 Soscol Ave., Suite 101.
Prior to the New Year's Eve flood the agency was located at 1333 Jefferson St.
"The reason for the move? Flood damage. We had an extensive amount mold damage," said Scott Wellington, service director at Becoming Independent.
Becoming Independent provides services to developmental challenges, helping them to integrate into the community and to live on their own.
This real estate transaction was handled by Alan Wilke of Coldwell Banker Commercial Brokers of the Valley.
Wilson Daniels LTD appoints Harris as
new import specialist for the East Coast
n Wilson Daniels Ltd., recognized as one of the industry's foremost fine wine importers and marketers, announces an addition to its imports division.
The company has promoted Stephenie Harris, Wilson Daniels' former metro market manager, New York, to import specialist, East Coast.
"Stephenie will be a wonderful addition to our already excellent import sales team," said Tom Dillione, Wilson Daniels' vice president of sales, Eastern Division.
Harris joined Wilson Daniels in August 2004. Previously, she had more than 10 years of experience with fine wine distributors, including Charmer Industries, where she was an on-premise sales executive and fine wine manager for Manhattan.
She also worked with Park Avenue Merchants (a division of Charmer), in Astoria, N.Y., as an on-premise sales executive, and with Monsieur Touton Selections as both an on-premise and off-premise wine consultant. She will now work with distributors and key import accounts on the East Coast, reporting to Dillione.

Antovich honored by Coldwell Banker
n Deanna Antovich, of Napa, a sales associated with Coldwell Banker Brokers of the Valley, has been named to the Coldwell Banker International President's Elite.
Only the top 3 percent of the more than 126,000 sales associates worldwide in the Coldwell Banker system qualified for this distinguished award.
This is the sixth year Antovich has earned the designation.
Antovich is a CB Previews Property specialist with innovative marketing techniques.
Napa Realtor completes training
n Longtime Napa Realtor, Sharon Voges, has returned from the National Association of Realtors/Council of Residential Specialist spring conference in San Antonio, Texas.
She attended intensive sessions focused on luxury home sales, real estate tax strategies and effective buying and selling in any market.
Voges holds a senior real estate specialist designation, which focuses on needs of seniors.
She and her teammate, Teri Buchanan, an accredited buyer representative, are with Coldwell Banker Brokers of the Valley.
