Dear editor,

I would like to thank the men and women of the Napa Police Department and the California Highway Patrol who work on Highway 29. They help keep the speed down on our dangerous highway. They do a great job in preventing accidents. I have too often seen accidents that are a result of speeding and other aspects of dangerous driving.

I live in Calistoga and work in Napa, so I drive Highway 29 every day and when I see a marked patrol car or motorcycle, I feel safer.

I only hope more people respect all of the men and women that patrol our highways, streets, and neighborhoods. Without their dedication and professional attitude, we would live in a much more dangerous area of California that is so beautiful. Thank you.
