Melissa MacDonald of Vallejo and Shane Rhodes of Eugene, Ore., were married Sept. 17, 2005, at Mayacamas Ranch in Calistoga. The couple cycled 45 miles from their home in Vallejo to the wedding site in Calistoga.

The flower girls were India Grace and Fiona Lily Medaris and the ring bearer was Ryan Warren. Melissa and Shane held their reception at Mayacamas Ranch and spent their honeymoon cycling over 200 miles in the Yucatan in Mexico and scuba diving in Cozumel. They currently live in Vallejo and plan to settle in Eugene, Ore. after taking a year off to cycle around the country.
The bride is the daughter of Linda MacDonald and Judge Richard Bennett and Jack MacDonald and Lis MacDonald, all of Napa. Melissa graduated from Justin-Siena High School in 1989 and earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Samuel Merritt College in Oakland in 1997 and a bachelor's degree in dance from Sacramento State. She is employed as a hospice nurse at Kaiser Vallejo.

The groom is the son of Nancy and Larry Snyder of Bend, Ore. and Mike Rhodes from Eugene, Ore. Shane graduated from West Anchorage High School in 1990 and earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Oregon in 1994.
