Riders in the Sky will perform in "Cowboys In Love" at the Napa Valley Opera House, Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. Their two-hour performance will begin and end with Riders' performing the best in Western music, from "Woody's Roundup" to "Tumblin' Tumbleweeds" and in between, they'll present "Riders Radio Theatre Š On the Road!"

For more than 15 years, "Riders Radio Theatre is on the air!" has rung out over National Public Radio airwaves. Loosely based on shows from the Golden Age of Radio, Riders Radio Theatre originated as a weekly show recorded in front of a live audience. The show starred "America's Favorite Cowboys" Riders in the Sky, along with announcer Texas Bix Bender, sound FX wizard Professor Zeno Klinker and special guests from Garth Brooks to the Dixie Chicks.
The Riders -- Ranger Doug (Idol of American Youth), Woody Paul (King of the Cowboy Fiddlers), Too Slim ("a Righteous Tater") and Joey (the CowPolka King) -- have single-handedly revived and revitalized an entire music genre since they formed in 1977. Notable achievements include their Grammy albums for Disney/Pixar's animated movies "Toy Story 2" and "Monster's Inc. -- "Scream Factory Favorites."

As real-life characters, the Riders continue to record seasonal episodes of Riders Radio Theatre, a radio program that's been broadcast by over 170 public and commercial stations since 1989. They've also starred in their own Saturday morning children's TV series, "Riders in the Sky," for CBS; hosted another one, "Tumbleweed Theater," for TNN and served as spokesmen for the National Park Service and Opryland. Tickets for the concert are $25 and $30.
Chicago City Limits will bring its unique brand of comedy and improvisation to the Opera House when they perform "The Power of Suggestion," one show only, Feb. 11, at 7:30 p.m. Audience-inspired suggestions form the basis of the show, where the cast creates comedy scenes and songs based on what the audience offers up. Attendees are encouraged to come early for a complimentary food & wine pairing sponsored by Zuzu tapas restaurant and JRE Wine, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Opera House Cafe Theatre. Tickets are $25 and $30.
