Napa Valley College's Brittany Chatterton was recently named to the All-Bay Valley Conference team for volleyball. Chatterton has played for the Storm for two years.
Prep Wrestling
* Napa varsity, JV beat Armijo
The Indians grapplers hosted Armijo Wednesday, and Napa won the varsity match 41-34.
"They wrestled extremely well," said coach Nacho Franco, "especially to come back from behind to pull out the victory they deserved."
Connor Trombetta, Robert Hennion, Wes Farley, Dustin Alves, Fritz Wagenknect, Jake Croxdale, Peter Butler and Myles Butler won key matches for the Indians.
As for the junior varsity, Napa prevailed 64-18 behind Warren McCann's win in the 119-pound weight class.
Freshman Boys Basketball
* Davis 58, Napa 54
Ben Ballentine led the Indians with 22 points while Andrew Starmer had 10, Nick Baldivia scored eight and Brandon Savin chipped in six points. Budge Pressley and Clinton Gorsuch played excellent defense for Napa.
The Indians (2-6 Monticello Empire League, 9-12 overall) travel to Vacaville to face the Bulldogs on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
Track and Field
Justin-Siena needs assistant coach
The Justin-Siena High School track and field team is looking for an assistant coach for the upcoming 2005 season.
