Locals and visitors alike are invited to a holiday open house at the Blackbird Inn in downtown Napa, Monday from noon to 2 p.m.

Guest will enjoy coffee, tea and home-baked cookies as they tour the inn, a restored, early 1900s Craftsman home with eight guest rooms. With its spacious front porch, huge stone fireplace, hand-crafted furniture and liberal use of fine woods throughout, Blackbird Inn is an excellent example of California architecture of the period. This year's holiday decorations are beautiful as well as inspiring to those looking for fresh ideas to dress up their homes for the season. The inn is located at 1755 First St.; phone 226-2450. /Register
