Angry at rhetoric behind Prop. 75

Dear editor,

As a union member, it makes me mad to hear the governor say I need to be protected from the union leaders that we've elected. Since I and the vast majority of union members are quite happy with the performance of our democratically-elected union leaders and their representation of us in the political process (the only voice we have), I'd say the governor, once again, doesn't know what he's talking about. For those members who don't want their money used for political purposes, they can choose to not have their money used for those purposes. We have very few in our ranks that make that choice, but it's an option, protected by law, that can be exercised at any time.
This proposition is just one more example of corporate union-busting, with the governor as their spokesperson. Meanwhile, corporations are left with no restrictions at all.

We have to remember that this man is an ex-body builder/actor, someone who has made his living pretending to be someone he isn't. He has absolutely no knowledge, experience or education that prepared him for this job -- but he fakes it really well. His act is very convincing, but it's still an act. He has no problem going in front of the citizens of this state and saying whatever he thinks is necessary to get them to vote for his corporate-backed ideas, the truth be damned. He's the tough guy one minute and the apologetic puppy dog the next -- in reality, just an actor following a script.
We union members don't need to be nor have we ever asked to be protected from the people we've carefully elected to represent us, the so-called "union bosses." Please join union members all over the state in voting no on Proposition 75!
