73 lets parents help in a time of loss
Regarding voting on Proposition 73: Abortion is a woman's legal choice, but it is nonetheless a serious medical procedure. And compared with other medical procedures in the United States, it appears that abortion is the most unregulated. My child can't get her ears pierced without my written consent, yet she could get a serious and extremely invasive procedure called an abortion without my consent. She can be taken, by a stranger, to a medical facility that I have not approved of, see a doctor that I know nothing about and have either a medical abortion (where she is given medication that I have not approved of with clear, known possible side effects) or the more invasive procedure, a surgical abortion. If there are complications will I, as a parent, know in time to get help for my child?
