California's Department of Fish and Game wants to restore 1,400 acres of what were once salt evaporation ponds near the Napa County Airport. DFG says it wants the area to become "a mosaic of tidal wetland and open water habitat."

Dave Garden's White Barn is a St. Helena landmark because of its theater performances, but dirt -- not stagecraft -- is making Garden an example for other county landowners.

On the popular television series "MASH" Mike Farrell saved lives as Dr. BJ Honeycutt. The show was canceled in 1983, but that didn't seem to stop Farrell from saving people through his work as an activist and on Sunday morning he was in the valley speaking out against the death penalty.
