Napa Valley Symphony kicks off the 2005/2006 season with Allegro con Brio Gala
The Napa Valley Symphony opens its 73rd season with the exciting Allegro con Brio Gala on Oct. 2 at the refurbished Lincoln Theater in Yountville, Napa Valley. This benefit afternoon concert, featuring internationally acclaimed opera star Jennifer Larmore, will be preceded by a culinary celebration -- a dazzling array of food, wine, and fun provided by the wonderful restaurants, caterers, vintners, and distillers of the Napa Valley. The concert will be followed by an exclusive dinner at Yountville's French Laundry.

'Jews of the Valley'
A beaded cape created more than 150 years ago and worn by one of the first Jewish settlers in the Napa Valley will be unveiled Sunday as a focal point of "Jews of the Valley," part of the Napa Valley Museum's permanent exhibition.
Jose Charles, artist without limits
Napa resident Jose Charles has always been an artist. "Even as a little kid, I would draw all the time," said Charles, 42. "I had a fascination with drawing." In the early days in his native Mexico, his only artistic supplies were a pencil and scraps of paper.
