Let's play ball
Well, the long wait is over and today marks the beginning of major league baseball's 2002 season. Hot stoves being dampered, old and sweet with sounds; the crack of a bat hitting a baseball and the thump of a ball hitting a catcher's glove can be heard all over this land.
Workers of the world, do math
Remember those story problems you used to have to do in school? I recall them as pretty surreal. Stuff like -- if a train left Seattle at 7:45 heading east going 147 mph and at the same a ferret earned a degree in 18th century German romantic literature from an Internet site based in Florida, which would arrive first?
